Berries need to be washed, cleaned from the stem and tail (usually they are carefully cut), and then pierced so that when cooking the berries do not spread. After sprinkling them with vodka and putting them in the freezer for 20 minutes, after the time has passed, we move them to the refrigerator for the whole night. In the morning, boil the syrup out of water and sugar, when it boils, put the prepared gooseberry in it and bring it to the boil again, then immediately set aside from the stove.
We give the mixture to cool (you can not interfere with it, just shake it slightly), and when it has cooled completely, pour the syrup through a colander. Then again bring the syrup to a boil, again add berries into it and boil until boiling, set aside and cool.
In total, this cooking should be repeated 3-4 times, for the last time we cook the jam for 30 minutes (readiness is checked using the drop method). We spread the ready mix hot on the sterilized cans and close them.
Gooseberry Sauce Recipe
A great option to replace the purchased ketchup, ideally combined with roast pork or chicken. To prepare the sauce for meat, we need:

Berries need to be washed and cleaned of flowers, clean the garlic, greens are also washed under water. Then we transfer all the ingredients into a blender glass and turn them into a homogeneous mass. If there is no blender, it doesn’t matter, we just skip all the products through the meat grinder several times, however, you should immediately make the reservation that the sauce is as smooth as in a blender.
