• How to connect a plate?

Satellite television is a special set of equipment, through which the reception of television programs broadcasting via satellite communications. The scheme of satellite television is the antenna itself, popularly called the “dish”, the receiver (tuner), and the converter. In order to receive all television broadcasts of the satellite coverage area in which we are located, the antenna must be located in the direction to the south. At the moment, mainly offset plates are used. How to connect the plate will be described below.

    Antenna installation

Satellite dish is going home. On the street, you only need to attach it to a vertical surface and adjust the signal reception slightly.

When installing the antenna, make sure that there are no obstacles towards the satellite. It is recommended to install the antenna as close as possible to the TV. Do not mount the antenna indoors, under the roof or behind glass, as the satellite signal will not pass. If you use a double braided cable and a thicker copper conductor, then if you exceed the length of 100 m, use an amplifier. For the mounting bracket, drill holes and attach the antenna assembled to them.

In order to connect the dish to the TV, it is necessary to prepare the cable. Begin to clean it from the very edge for a length of approximately 15 mm of the insulating layer, while trying to keep the shielded braid. Then screw the F-connector on the cable up to the stop, cut off the center conductor, taking into account the protrusion of no more than two mm. Do the same with the other end of the cable. After that, screw the ends of the cable one to the special connector of the receiver, and the other to the converter on the “plate”.

If you have several “heads”, then the question arises how to connect two plates to the tuner. To do this, you will need additional wires of about one meter, which will connect the DiSEqC switch and converters.

    Antenna tuning

The so-called "adjustment" of the antenna must be carried out, knowing the frequencies, flow rate and polarization of the particular satellite you have chosen. Learn more about the frequency on the site. Remember that not all frequencies have equal power.

The signal consists of indicators such as quality and strength. We need to focus on quality. To achieve this, place the antenna vertically and rotate as slowly as possible. During the "shooting" it is not necessary to close the "head" with your hands, otherwise you will not wait for the signal.

If the signal does not appear, then slightly tilt the antenna and continue to twist it to the side. Thus, achieve the maximum signal value. Then activate the scan in order to find out if you are tuned to the desired satellite. Make sure that the channel does not "slow down" and not "pour" cubes. If the setting is correct, then the desired channel list will be displayed on the screen. Now gently tighten the nuts, so as not to lose the signal.

If you have several converters, say, two, then when tuning the signal, change the antenna number through the receiver's menu. After configuring both converters, connect a DiSEqC switch to them. Using the menu of the tuner, go to “Antenna Setup” and select the converter installation. Make sure the connection is the same as in the menu of each of the two satellites. And finally, select the mode in the main menu “Automatic Setup” and scan both plates.

    Connection "Tricolor TV"

In Russia, the most popular satellite TV is "Tricolor TV". The installation of this antenna is no different from the method described above, so the following will be described how to connect a dish of Tricolor TV to your TV. There are two ways to do this.

The first way is to connect the satellite antenna to the RF frequency through the antenna cable, using the “RF Out” connector on the receiver and the antenna jack on the TV. We connect to the power supply cable from the receiver and its power switch. We are waiting for the word “BOOT” to appear, and then the channel number. The appearance of the clock on the display means that the receiver is in standby mode, so turn it on. Next, activate on your TV channel search mode and look for the channel that says "No Signal". If such a channel is found, then you have connected the tuner as it should.

The second method is carried out on the frequency of the woofer through the cable, which has connectors such as "Scart" or "tulips". This cable connects the TV to the receiver. We connect the tuner to the network and turn on the power switch. The inscription “BOOT” and the channel number appear, and the clock is on the receiver when in standby mode. After that, press "POWER" on the tuner console, and on the TV go to video mode (press the "A / V" button). If the connection is correct, the message "No signal" appears.

To configure the antenna, press the "i" button on the remote from the tuner, two scales will appear - "Signal quality" and "Signal strength". Empty scales mean no signal. The ratio of these two scales is adjusted signal reception. Now you know how to connect a satellite dish and what to expect.
