    What is a persona?

The word "person" came to us from the Latin language. It is formed from "persona", which means "person". In ancient times, the persona was called the mask of the actor theater. And what is a person in modern Russian and where do they use this word?

    • The most popular use of this word is associated with the designation of a particular person. Strangely enough, in different situations this word has a different emotional tinge, and even the opposite. For example, they say this about some important person, a handsome man - "His persona has always been noticeable and significant in our circles." But they can say in an ironic context: "Her person is famous throughout the county for its disgusting taste." "What a strange person!"
    • People are also called persons at the table at the reception, in this case they are not talking about someone concrete, but in general. Example: "We need to cover dinner for 7 people."
