    Who got the Golden Ball?

    The Golden Ball football award was introduced in 1956 as a prize for the best player of the year among European football clubs. Initially only Europeans could receive it, but then the rules changed a little. Players of any nationality could receive the award, but they certainly play for one of the European clubs.
